A visually immersive experience for Revlon – in 43 different skin tones.
Revlon needed a way to lure attendees at the Essence Festival into trying its ColorStay foundation. Because the line is defined by its incredible breadth, a visual story was the best way to show the impressive range of shades. And the event space needed to be infinitely Instagrammable to get people to post from the demo space at the annual music- and speaker-driven event.
We went with a series of engaging vignettes all in monochromatic variations of skin tones. Playful props were painted and labeled with their respective ColorStay shades, and each scene supported a specific brand claim for its long-wearing foundation, including a gym scenario for “sweatproof” and bath vignette for “steam-proof.”
Participation: 3,150 guests
ColorStay matches made: 720
Swag bags distributed: 5,750
